10 Year Anniversary: The Journey

It’s About Un-becoming Everything That Isn’t Really You

Yesterday, I realized that I was completely in a tornado of overwhelm after a series of calls that showed me that today’s 8-hours of energy was not going to be enough to get a handle on the pending projects and their tasks that needed to be done. I wanted to step away, close the door, and distract myself with something less demanding like pulling lint off a sweater.

After a moment of gathering myself and breathing, I realized that I can only do what I can do and return to gently holding my fragile soul so that it could find my footing on this demanding yet exciting journey.

And, that is how I’m holding this moment, as a point along my “life’s journey.” While I may be in The Pit, right now, I know that I will get out of it and I know what steps to take. The steps are:

  • allowing my emotions to be felt, and
  • letting go of what isn’t serving me, anymore.

Yup, easier said than done and I’m ready for the journey inward to do the work.

This month’s celebration theme is: The Journey.

We know that this word can conjure up lots of images: a pathway into the unknown; the road to a new adventure; the beginning of discovery; and even, a meandering to nowhere.

For us at The Cancer Journey Institute, “Journey” has a flavor of adventure, discovery, and transformation. And, when one is on a Cancer Journey whether as a patient or caregiver during or a survivor after treatment is done, it is often one filled with fear, confusion, and uncertainty.

It’s life on steroids. Everything seems to be amplified and we are aware of the abundance of emotions (even the ones we are pushing down) that are present. We may be aware that we don’t know how to handle the emotional, mental, and spiritual swirl that has us caught in its turbulence. Here’s where we can help.

This month, our desire is to help provide some grounding and handrails for you.

We will do that in a number of ways. We will provide you with:

  1. Insight into our signature map, The Cancer Journey Roadmap.
  2. “Inquiries” that can help you at each stage. The Questions that will help you explore and move forward.
  3. A catalog of Guided Visualizations/Imagery to help you along your path (as our free gift to you using code 10YEAR, this month only).
  4. A live Zoom Guided Visualization/Imagery Workshop to allow you to “Meet Your Cancer” in a safe and loving space.

Most of all, we are celebrating all of us as we consciously and powerfully travel forward on our journeys; hooking our virtual arms together so that we are not doing it alone.

Ready? Come join us.
