Donnie Hill
Certified Cancer Journey Coach

Meet Donell Hill (“Donnie”) — The Life Maximizer. Donnie believes that people are here on this Earth to thrive and live the best life possible, but sometimes difficult life situations — such as cancer — make that hard to do. He learned first-hand when his nonsmoker mom was diagnosed with Stage 1B Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in 2012.

Now, he is changing the lives of people who have been touched by cancer. Donnie has retained lessons he’s learned from his many life experiences, including: with his mom; his education from Stanford University; work as a Certified Cancer Journey Coach; a Peer Health Educator; a NASM Certified Personal Trainer; a professional actor; and a Training Manager for a presentations skills training company. Combining these lessons and skills, he now speaks to groups, and leads dynamic, educational, and transformative workshops that invite and inspire patients and their families to create new lives and rediscover hope.

An interview with Donnie:

What inspires you to get up in the morning? For me, there is nothing more exciting and satisfying than watching people take back control of their life. Despite their cancer diagnosis or their loved one’s diagnosis, people have an opportunity to use this difficult life situation as a catalyst to create a new, soulful life — one that is filled with more love, more joy or more meaning. In the moments that my clients get it, they dare to hope again, and I take one more step towards my mission of creating peace and Heaven on Earth.

What are you scared of? I’m scared that I won’t get to share my knowledge, experiences, and resources with the people I’m meant to help before it is my time to leave this world.

People often underestimate the power of . . . (self) acknowledgement. You matter.

I am in my power when . . . I acknowledge all aspects of my humanity and my complexity — “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

If you could have one super power, what would you choose? Teleportation! (It would be a lot easier to go back home to see my family or deliver talks around the world if I could just snap my fingers and “Poof!” I’m there! (Apple . . . Google . . . you have a new project to work on!)
