Pamela Brody

I grew up in an environment of Art and Medicine. My father was a doctor, and my mother an accomplished artist. Through the blending of those two worlds, I found my creativity, love of medicine, and strong desire to help people come together.
Initially I took the creative “fork in the road”, followed by working in the medical and recovery fields (the other fork in the road). I then witnessed the tragic death of my father from brain cancer, which had a profound and life-changing effect on me. All of these experiences brought with them the realization that I wasn’t doing what I valued most: working with people as they faced emotional and physical challenges, supporting them in discovering their strength, empowerment and authenticity.
I found Cancer Coaching (or it found me), after completing the Healthcare Certification Program, though UC Berkeley. Now a Board Certified Patient Advocate, Cancer Coach and Strengths Finder Coach, I can blend coaching with my ability to guide people navigating our complex healthcare system. Whether about illness or the abundance of life’s challenges, coaching provides the support needed to address deeper emotions, explore and envision one’s dreams, and find new ways of attaining one’s goals. I love working with new ideas and systems to better help people experience their incredible empowerment, healing, happiness and peace.

What inspires you to get up in the morning? Knowing I have another opportunity to live a creative, connected life.

If you could have one super power, what would you choose? The ability to spontaneously heal physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges through my energy and power.
