Cathy Ritter
Certified Cancer Journey Coach, Cancer Thriver, Community Concierge at The Cancer Journey Institute

It was when my second cancer diagnosis was delivered that I buckled. It hit me that I had to pay attention to it this time. There must be a message here that I missed the first time around. This time even though I was surrounded by friends and family who love me, a competent medical team, alternative treatment therapists, and a therapist, I felt alone and in chaos. When asked to daydream an image of a future for myself, I could only see a black screen in front of me. I became stuck. Enter the amazing coaches and teachers at The Cancer Journey Institute. I have not felt alone since the first workshop with Shariann. Through my engagement with CJI, I discovered that we are our best allies; that there is power in choice; that by deeply connecting to our emotions, values and strengths it’s possible to live a full and fulfilling life right now – Our future is now and our dreams are powerful. As a Cancer Journey Coach, I am living my future now with a purpose to accompany others through the emotional rollercoaster of a cancer diagnosis. I provide a grounded, judgment free and loving space to find clarity, to step into one’s powerful self to embody your true light and grace through your unique journey.

I have a work background in Administrative Support, Bookkeeping, Office Management, and a Virtual Assistance business. I’m also the mom (best job ever!) of two vibrant young men, who’ve flown the coop.

An interview with Cathy:

What inspires you to get up in the morning? The person or experience I know I’ll be connecting with that day.

What are you scared of? I’m scared of being in the dark alone. I can do it, but it scares me!

People often underestimate the power of . . . Listening, and being present.

I am in my power when . . . I’m honoring my boundaries while living true to my values and strengths.

If you could have one super power, what would you choose? To blow a kiss to someone that would cure their cancer.
