Caregiver, GIST

certified December 2025

Certified Cancer Journey Coach
Volunteer Coordinator
Wig and Prosthesis Fitter

Juliana supports people diagnosed with cancer, as well as their families and caregivers, during moments of profound uncertainty and vulnerability. Her work centers on offering presence, clarity, and compassion at stages when many people feel alone or invisible, even when they are surrounded by others.

From a young age, Juliana assumed caregiving roles in the context of illness—an experience that shaped a deep conviction: no one should have to go through a crisis alone. She works from a respectful, person-centered approach—not as an expert who brings answers, but as a trusted presence who listens, asks thoughtful questions, and walks alongside the other, convinced that each person is the expert in their own life, and creating the space for each person’s authentic self to emerge.

One of her main strengths is calm in the storm: she brings emotional steadiness without judgment, without forced positivity, and without minimizing the complexity of what is being lived. She supports both individuals with a diagnosis and family members and caregivers who rarely allow themselves to ask for help. Those who work with her often experience greater clarity, a genuine sense of support, and a reconnection with their values and strengths. Many describe feeling seen, accepted, and less alone.

Calm in the storm

Q: What inspires you to get up in the morning?

A: What inspires me most is the quiet privilege of walking alongside people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. And just as deeply, my family, my husband and my two amazing kids — and of course Chip, our joyfully loyal pup — who ground me in love, laughter, and the everyday reminders of what truly matters

Q: What are you scared of?
A: I’m scared of the times in life when one feels completely alone and unsupported. That fear, which comes from my lived experience, is what drives my commitment to make sure no one has to walk through the hardest seasons unsupported.

Q: People often underestimate the power of...
A: People often underestimate the power of empathy, kindness, and a truly present listening ear. In a world that moves so quickly to fix or advise, simply being met with genuine care and understanding can be deeply healing.

Q: I am in my power when...

A: I am in my power when I am fully present — listening deeply, holding steady space, and trusting the wisdom that emerges when people feel safe enough to be real. That’s where the most meaningful shifts happen.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would you choose?

A: I would choose the power of teleportation — to travel the world with ease, take in all the beautiful sights, see all sorts of different cultures, try different foods and be able to instantly be with the people I love whenever my heart calls me home.
