Q: What inspires you to get up in the morning?
A: The possibility of bridging the gap between clinical science and the human spirit. Coming from a background in biotech, I know the incredible work being done to treat the disease, but I wake up excited to support the person behind the diagnosis. I am inspired by the resilience I see in my clients—the opportunity to help them find their footing, much like the olive trees in my garden that stand strong through every season.
Q: What are you scared of?
A: I am most afraid of rigidity—the inability to flow when life throws an obstacle in the path. In my practice (and in life), I believe that when we become too rigid, we break. My fear is seeing someone lose their sense of agency or feel paralyzed by their diagnosis. It drives me to help them find that 'bamboo' flexibility so they can bend without breaking and survive the storm.
Q: People often underestimate the power of...
A: The idea of "Yielding."
In a culture that values fighting and force, we often forget that there is immense strength in softness. Like the ocean, which yields to the ship but supports its weight, or bamboo that bends in the wind only to snap back upright, true power often comes from the ability to absorb, adapt, and redirect energy rather than crashing against it.
Q: I am in my power when...
A: I am holding space for others. I feel most aligned and effective when I can be the calm anchor in the room—listening deeply not just to what is being said, but to what is being felt. It’s that moment in a coaching session when the frantic energy settles, and the client feels safe enough to uncover their own truth. That is when I feel I am truly of service.
Q: If you could have one super power, what would you choose?
A: The ability to instantly translate fear into clarity. A cancer diagnosis brings a fog of medical jargon and emotional overwhelm. If I could snap my fingers and allow a person to instantly see through that fog to their own inner strength and options—to feel 'grounded' immediately rather than having to fight for it—that would be the ultimate gift.
